European Trip Ends for Mr and Mrs Carr After Seven Weeks

Mr and Mrs A J Carr returned home north of Knights Town last Friday from a seven week trip to Europe. They visited Holland and northern Germany aboard United States liner with rough crossing and returned by Air France Line plane. An uneventful flight turned eventful only near Richmond Indiana as radar guided them into Indianapolis due to heavy rain. Mr Carr traveled on business in Europe.

Telephone Users Debate General Telephone Plans at Center

A Tuesday night meeting at the Community Center reviewed General Telephone Company rulings on toll charges and free service. Officials said free service discontinuance could be altered if citizens approve with higher costs. a petition to the Public Service Commission seeks to end free service to Arlington, Morristown and Mays and the Arlington exchange. Morris town would go to an automatic system like Carthage, with more lines promised to Knightstown if local patrons support increased rentals.
