William Howard convalesces at Indianapolis veterans hospital with unchanged condition. Mrs. Gertrude Jessup admitted to Rush Memorial Hospital. Lake Logan returned home after weeks at Rush Memorial Hospital. Mrs. James Terhune in worse condition this past week.

Army Pvt. Jerry D. Wrightsman son of Mr and Mrs Leonard C Wrightsman of Carthage Indiana has arrived in Germany and joined the 4th Armored Division in Leipheim He is a tank crewman in Headquarters Company of the 66th Armor Wrightsman entered the Army in December 1958 and arrived in Europe last April The 19 year old was a 1958 Carthage High School graduate and previously worked at Jim's Super Service Station in Knightstown.

Former Jacksonville resident dies at 74
Robert Watling 74 formerly of Carthage and owner of a local bakery died of a heart attack at 6 a.m. Monday in Jacksonville Florida. Survived by his widow Pearl and two sisters in California. Funeral services were held this past Wednesday.

Alumni Meet Honors Carthage High School Classes
About two hundred twenty Carthage High School alumni and guests attended the Seventh Annual Alumni Association meeting at the local gym. Honored: the 1909 and 1934 classes.
