Raiders Fall 11-7 to Rushville Lions in Softball
Carthage Raiders independ ent softball team lost 11 to 7 at home against the Rushville Lions. White and McCorkle pitched for Carthage while Berkimer threw for Rushville. The Raiders trailed 11-2 entering the seventh before scoring five runs but could not complete the comeback. An attempt is being made to schedule a game for next Sunday.

Ceiling Set On Strawberries In Indiana Market

South and Hoosier farmers receive 16 to 14 cents per pint, with wholesalers paying higher costs including transport and refrigeration. Louisiana strawberries sell for 5.48 dollars per crate, about 2.28 dollars per pint box. Prices will drop as closer supplies arrive and homegrown berries mature in coming weeks.
