Tickets two dollars per couple or one dollar twenty five for singles go on sale at Wind sor s Rubus Market and Car Radio and Appliance. Ray Stone and his Music will provide entertainment. Attendees need not be alumni and dance is on the Community Center ballroom floor Saturday night from nine to midnight following the alumni dinner. Transfer of Lance Corporal Gatewood to Embassy Duty Training
Lance Corporal Charles L. Gatewood of the U S Marine Corps base at 29 Palms participated in a base wide review for Lieutenant General Krulak. Gatewood carried the Marine Corps colors next to the National Ensign with two riflemen, and will be transferred to Headquarters Marine Corps Washington D C in July for embassy duty training, with thirty days leave first.

Kendall Accepts Associate Minister Post in Bedford Indiana
Robert Kendall a minister at East Street Christian Church will serve as Associate Minister at First Christian Church Bedford Indiana and teach at Indiana University toward a PhD in Speech and Theatre. He will commute to Bloomington for classes and they will live in the Bedford parsonage moving around July 20. The East Street board has appointed a pulpit committee as it seeks a replacement. The Kendalls came to Carthage seven years ago from Washington.

Needletwisters Meet in Home Ec Room May 4
The Needletwisters met May 4 in the Home Ec Room at 4 35 p m. President Jenny Eoff called the meeting to order. Peguina Shields led the pledge to the American flag. Shirley Deboard led the 4H pledge. Kathy Smith led group singing. Linda Copple gave a Health and Safety report on Summer Safety in the Home. Roll call asked plans for the summer. There were 22 members 2 adult leaders and one guest present. The next meeting is June 8 in the Home Ec Room from 1 to 4 p m with demonstrations by Kathy Wright Linda Sullivan Sammons and Darlene Barry. The motion to adjourn was seconded by Vicki Gatewood and the meeting adjourned to recreation. Reporter Wanda Henderson.

Henry L. Sohn, 68, of Knightstown, a native of Carthage, died last Friday at Rush Memorial Hospital after a two year illness. A retired farmer, he lived in Henry County most of his life and belonged to the Knightstown Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow Ruth Sohn, two daughters Doris Howard of Knightstown and Mary Brown of Newton, Illinois, and four grandchildren. Funeral and burial rites were held Monday afternoon in Knightstown.

Alumni Day brings Carthage graduates back to town
Saturday marks Alumni Day in Carthage as several hundred Carthage High School alumni return for renewals of old friendships. Visitors tour the school buildings in the afternoon. The 12th Annual Meeting is set at the Community Center with a 6 30 p.m. banquet and follow up program in the auditorium. The 1964 graduates will be guests and the 1939 and 1914 classes will be honored. An alumni ball follows the program.

Mother Daughter Banquet Held at Christian Church
A Mother and Daughter banquet was served in the church basement on Friday evening for about fifty guests.
