Indiana Fish Closed Season Requires Licenses
The closed season runs May 1 to June 16 and covers many species including largemouth bass smallmouth bass silver bass bluegill crappie rock bass yellow perch walleye pike and pickerel. Fishing these during the closed period is illegal and may lead to arrest and fines under the new state law. All residents 18 and over must hold a license to fish in Indiana with a premises exception.
