Frederick Sohn in town Wednesday morning shot a Great Northern Diver on Blue River near his home. The Grebe family bird, usually native to the British Isles, was driven far from home by strong currents. Sohn took the prize to Indianapolis to learn its commercial value. it measured inches to tail with a 52 inch wingspan and weighed over 6 pounds. Plumage was white on the breast and glossy black dotted with white on the back.

Mrs James Forbes who had been ill with sciatic neuralgia and stomach trouble was taken to Martinsville Friday for possible benefit. Her heart proved too weak for baths and she returned Saturday.
