Funeral services were held Thursday for Dr Daw son Dwight Van Osdol who died Tuesday morning at his Rushville home following a stroke Saturday evening. He practiced in Allensville three years before moving to Rushville in 1899 and was known for Indian relics collection. He belonged to St Pauls M E church and several fraternal orders. Survived by widow, two sons Dwight G. and Max B. Van Osdol, two brothers, a sister, and one grandson.

County awards road material contract to Smith Construction
The county commissioners awarded the bituminous materials contract for the highway department to Smith Construction of Flora Indiana. They will supply 250000 gallons of material plus a stone spreader a seven ton roller and a power broom. The final cost will be set by the summer road program and cannot exceed 20000 dollars.
