Ear corn grown in 42 Indiana counties not known to be infested with the European corn borer may be admitted to Kentucky if certified as borer free. Indiana must certify fields outside infested areas before shipment. shelled corn requires no certificate. Kentucky regulations modification would aid Indiana growers supplying a major market.

Funeral services held for Mary Dagler fourteen
Funeral services were conducted at Wright's funeral home in Rushville for Mary Estella Dagler fourteen, daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Dagler. She died at her home northeast of Rushville Thursday evening. Rev Walter Crawley led the services. Survived by her parents three sisters Mildred and grandfather Tommy Alexander of this area.

Rush county Wheat Control association says growers who signed fall 1935 applications for the 1936 39 wheat control contract will be paid for the reduction this year. Set aside contracted acres based on 5 percent of base, fields measured, and contracted acres must not be sown to any grain or cash crop.

A thief prowling Carthage has stolen three batteries from Frank Alexander at the scale office, Frank McCullough, one from his Buick, one from a truck, and a battery from William Gatewood. A radiator was taken from Felix Saunders’ Whippet. Town Marshal Herbert McCorkhill suspects three suspects already sold batteries locally but says none of the affected owners will file affidavits.

The Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority funded a milk lunch for 25 first three grade children, costing about 15 monthly, with weight charts and grade improvements noted.
