Orville Mattix Fatally Injured in Greenfield Tragedy
Orville Mattix a 57 year old Greenfield resident died Saturday night at Indianapolis Methodist Hospital from internal hemorrhage after being crushed between cars at the Greenfield interurban car barn. He was a brother of Roy Mattix of this place and had lived in Charlottes ville before moving to Greenfield. He worked for the T. H. I. and E. Traction Co and was a member of the S. O. O. F Lodge and Eagles. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Methodist Protestant church in Greenfield with burial in Glen Cove cemetery at Knights town.

Clarence Brooks 38 of Greenfield died when his car struck by a Pennsylvania train at Greenfield crossing. Witnesses said bells rang and whistle blew. a wheel fell into a street hole as the car stalled. Brooks left a widow and five children, one an infant.
