Franklin and Carthage Strollers Clash at Audi Auditorium

Next Tuesday night at Audi torium gym a colored basketball game between Franklin and Carthage Strollers starts at 7 45. Admission 25 cents. A dance follows from 9 to 12 with music by Palais Paramount Syncopating Six. Tickets 50 cents per couple. Spectators 25 cents.

Albert Hopkins and family moved from the Mary Kizer property on North Walnut to the Orville Leisure farm. Denvid Ray moved to the Paul B Norris farm.

Carr develops all-in-one fibre and corrugating machine

A. J. Carr has completed and shipped a working model of a combined fibre and corrugating machine. Built with the help of several assistants, the device forms a complete box in one operation, replacing three machines and reducing the crew by six. Carr plans further shop upgrades and possible expansion of this line.

Electric rates cut by Indiana Electric for March service

The Indiana Electric Corporation lowers lighting rates with 50 kW blocks at 13c gross 12c net for the first 50 kW and 1le gross 10c net for the next 50 kW. Over 100 kW is 9c gross 8c net. Minimum charge remains 1 dollar. Rates take effect with March service.

The M. E. Ladies' Aid will hold a market Saturday afternoon at McCarty's drug store. Proceeds support church activities.

Sugar Camps Report Varied Sap Yield Over Warm Weekend

Sugar Camps showed mixed activity as warm weather continued. Rue P Henley produced 26 gallons this second run for a 117 gallon total, James Terhune had a good run, H H Foust plans Friday closure, Clyde Henley closed earlier, Arnold Miller closed Tuesday, Adkins may stay into next week if weather cooperates. Over 100 visitors from Milroy Rushville Shelbyville Greenfield Indianapolis and nearby areas attended Sunday bringing basket dinners.
