Good Citizen winner to represent Rush County in state contest
Amy Sue Addison of Arlington High School won the Good Citizen Contest sponsored by the Rushville DAR Chapter. She will represent Rush County in the state contest and receive a certificate and pin. Other contestants received pins at graduation night or senior day. On Wednesday March 1 at the Community Center a Cub Scout den was organized with eight boys and parents present. Two new dens were formed and an upcoming meeting will collect application blanks for new members. Den No 1 met March 6 at Dr. Richard McNabb’s home with full attendance and a pledge of allegiance as the group planned the pack meeting theme. Warren Nigh celebrated a birthday and received a cub scout knife. Refreshments followed.

Rush County commissioners met Monday at the courthouse to approve routine business. O dell Pitts of Carthage was reappointed for a one year term on the County Alcoholic Beverage board.
