Manilla upset Arlington 32-28, Milroy overwhelmed Raleigh 28-16, and Carthage beat Mays 28-24 to advance to the semis where Rushville beat Milroy 55-20.

Father to Ripley Township Man Dies
James F. Weidner, 87, died at his daughter’s home in Bloomingdale after a long illness. He was the father of Carl Weidner of Carthage and left a wife, who died in 1935, plus three daughters and five sons. Funeral services were held at Wright Funeral Home in Rushville with burial in Little Blue River cemetery.
