The War Food Administration announces beef cattle production payments via sight drafts redeemable at local banks. Lamb Pool Sales Bring More Money
Rush county growers have four strong years of lamb pool sales. Last year 1,060 lambs yielded a $1.77 per hundredweight gain over regular markets. The first pool is set for Wednesday June 27 from 4 to 8 pm at Cowan stockyards Rushville. Over 4,000 lambs pooled in four years with an 88 cent gain per head. Future pools: July 25 August 22 September 22 September 19 October 31.
