Rush County Better Crops Association Plans Field Tour
The Rush County Better Crops Association met June 12 at the county extension office to plan events. The pasture field tour is set for Wednesday morning June 26 with stops at John R. White and Son's farm in Ripley township, Everett Shank farm in Anderson township at 10 30 a m, and possibly Jacobi farm on the river road in Rushville township to view fertilizing pasture results. A 34 acre pasture mix and Sudan grass will be observed at Everett Shank farm. There are 91 five acre corn club members in Rush county for 1946, the largest in years. A corn and soybean plot was seeded on Russell Norris farm in Rushville township. The next meeting is Friday August 23.
