Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Lukens and relatives attended the Ohio State University commencement last Friday morning as Virgil McKee earned the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. The McKee family will move to Akron, Ohio for his new practice, with Tina staying longer to visit.

Volunteer Firemen Meeting Set at Waldron Station

The 10th District Indiana Volunteer Firemen’s Association holds its next meeting on Wednesday June 23 at 8 00 p m at the Waldron Fire Station District Secy Allen Blades. Youth fined on three traffic cases Frank Logan Jr 19 Route 2 Knightstown paid the minimum on three charges and was remanded to jail for non payment after a Rushville JP Court appearance. He was cited May 20 in Carthage for no license and charged June 12 for false registration and no operator’s license. Fines were 1 dollar and 18 75 dollars on each charge.

Carol Fraze earned a B S degree in Sociology and is the Fraze grandparents granddaughter. The Browns also attended Phillip Brown’s graduation from Southside High School in Fort Wayne last Wednesday.

Three coon hunters cited by conservation officer

Three coon hunters were arrested this week in Center Township by Conservation Officer Glenn Conner and cited into the Justice of the Peace Court at Rush. Denny Norfleet Jr., 33, Carthage Route 2. Dick J. Chute, 54, Anderson. Melvin O. Beeman, 31, Anderson, charged with taking a raccoon during the closed season. All fines were $1 with costs of $18.75.
