Over two hundred Scouts and leaders have joined early signups for Bear Creek Boy Scout camp. Dates run June 2 to August 31 in thirteen week periods with priority to reservations received at the council office.

Fourth annual pasture experiment field meeting at Upland
The fourth annual pasture experiment field meeting will be held Tuesday June 4 at 1 30 p m at the Miller Purdue farm near Upland. Dr G O Mott and Purdue pasture researchers will lead the program and tour focusing on brome alfalfa bromedine birdsfoot trefoil blue grass and alfalfa Timothy pasture mixtures under grazing. Rotation grazing unfertilized versus fertilized pasture and seed production comparisons will be shown. Last year Rush county attendees joined this event. contact the extension office to participate.

About 1.5 million textbooks used in Army and Navy wartime college courses will be supplied at no cost to veterans enrolled in government sponsored college programs.
