DeMoss Service Held for Carthage Resident Jennie
Miss Sara Jane DeMoss of Rush County died May 25 1946 at her sister’s home. Born December 12 1867 in Harris City she spent most of her life in Rush County and belonged to the Christian Union church at Bilve Ridge. Funeral services were held at Wyatt memorial with Dr. John T. Scull officiating and burial in East Hill cemetery Rushville. Survivors include two brothers and two sisters.

Earlham Plans Summer Field Laboratory at Dewart Lake
Earlham College will establish a biology field lab at Dewart Lake near Warsaw Indiana this summer. Land was donated by Homer J Coppock and the Coppock family with help from Aaron Napier and the Indiana Yearly Meeting of Friends. Plans call for courses in limnology and aquatic biology taught by Earlham faculty and space for about 20 students with dormitory housing for 30 planned.

Mrs DeWitt Foster Injured In Fall At Home
Mrs DeWitt Foster suffered serious injuries after falling downstairs in darkness while opening a wrong door. She fractured ribs and a cheekbone, sustained a deep facial cut, and was x rayed at Rushville City hospital before returning home to recuperate.
Noah Young Dies in Muncie Home Death
Noah Young formerly of Carthage was found dead in bed at Mrs. Mary Mourey home in Muncie Sunday at 9 00 AM. He was born July 16 1855 in Rush County and married Nancy Ray in 1883 who preceded him. Surviving half brother Elza Young of Posey township. Funeral at Carmony Funeral Home Manilla with Rev Jenkins officiating. Burial in Blue River Chapel cemetery.
