Rush County Free Fair Opens Monday
The Rush county free fair starts Monday July 29 at Memorial park Rushville. The county provides 2000 for prizes across livestock vegetables poultry and 4-H events with contests and awards. The Rush County Agricultural Association promotes the fair with rides exhibits and carnival concessions expected to draw many residents.

Rushville’s First Woman Attorney Miss Anna Bohannon Dies
Death occurred Sunday at age 70 at her Rushville home. Anna L. Bohannon co headed the Gary and Bohannon law firm for twenty years and practiced until illness a year ago. She led in Rush county civic groups including the Woman's Council, Business and Professional Women's Club, and the Red Cross, and belonged to St. Paul's Methodist church. She is survived by two sisters Grace H and Elsie G and a nephew W. B. Keaton, all of Rushville. Services were at Master Mortuary with Dr. J. T. Scull. burial at East Hill cemetery.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 am Tuesday at 512 St Jordan Ave Bloomington for William H Binford age 84 who died Sunday. Interment followed at Walnut Ridge cemetery. He was born September 6 1855 in Rush County and lived with son H Emory Binford. Survivors include wife Sarah predeceased, daughter in Bloomington and three grandchildren.
