Akers Family Visit Precedes Road Accident News
Mr. D F Akers of Nova Ohio was on business this week. Sunday dinner guests included Mrs J F Leisure and Mrs Henry Jessup, Billy Payne, Miss Ailen Jerkins, Malcolm Jessup, Mrs Noah Leisure and Howard. Cressie Akers lost control on road 52 near Rushville Tuesday when a tire blew out, overturning the car and injuring Mrs Akers who required five stitches. Elmer Wilkinson witnessed the crash and delivered Mrs Akers home. the Dunn car sustained minor damage.

1930 Carthage High School Reunion in Greenfield
The 1930 Carthage High School class held a reunion at Greenfield Riley Park last Sunday with Joseph Graff elected President and Miss Anna Mildred Drysdale as Secretary. A pitch-in dinner followed. attendees included Charles Mosier Anna Mildred Daysdere Robert Moore and others, with guests Agatha King en Donald Bell Marjorie Gahimer and Mary Elizabeth Gatewood. Death of George Mann at 69 after Brights disease
George Mann aged 69 died after a six week illness. He had lived with son Gerald Mann and family at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow and eight other children. Funeral was held Saturday at 11:00 at the home with Rev. N. S. Schoolfield presiding. James McFatridge sang two solos with Virginia McBride as accompanist. Burial followed in Deerfield Cemetery northeast of Winchester. D. P. Dunn was the undertaker.
