Death of Mrs Macy at Walnut Ridge Friends Church
Mrs. Cora Van Pelt Macy aged 62 died at her Walnut Ridge home after a year of illness. She was born in Charleston Illinois October 8 1883 to Jack and Mary Van Pelt and married Everett Macy June 15 1919 who survives. Also surviving are her mother sister and brother and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Walnut Ridge Friends church with several ministers officiating and pallbearers named.

Scouts to Get Conservation Course
The first encampment of the Hoosier Senior Scout Conservation Camp will begin in Clark State Forest near Henryville July 15. Milton Matter, director of the Indiana Department of Conservation, announced today that Senior Scouts from throughout the state will attend the camp, sponsored by the Division of Forestry of the Conservation department and Purdue University.

First Lamb Pool Shows Excellent Grades at Rush County
The 1945 first lamb pool held June 27 sold 91 head of lambs for Rush county breeders. The pool added an average gain of fifty cents per hundredweight over standard markets. Seventy three point six percent were double blue and 20.8 percent single blue, totaling 95.4 percent in top grades. Double-blue lambs averaged 93.5 pounds and single blues 82.8 pounds.
