Howard B. Stout died at his Arlington home after a second heart attack Thursday morning. He operated a local garage. Survived by widow Louise Nelson, son Bobby Lee, mother Grace Trobaugh, with funeral services at Arlington Methodist Church. Burial in Arlington Cemetery.

Miss Lillian E. Henley suffered a fractured hip when she fell coming down stairs at her home Tuesday night at 8 30. Discovered 18 hours later in the front hall by Miss Mattie Clark the doorbell helper. Doctor George B. McNabb treated her and she was taken to the Methodist hospital by Thompson ambulance.

One hundred twenty nine head of lambs and four head of ewes pooled June 26 in Rush county lamb pool. Most lambs 80.6 percent in top two grades, 50.3 percent double blue. Average weights 85.5 pounds single blue and 96.9 pounds double blue. Some buck lambs graded double red and red dot and sent to Cincinnati. Fire destroyed the Carthage Grain Company elevator and the New York Central freight house early Thursday. Owners Lee Silver and Carl Hogle reported losses of corn, feed, and trucks. insurance covered all losses. A strong wind fueled flames as investigators probed the cause.
