Gail Dalrymple dies suddenly in truck cab near Frankfort
Gail Dalrymple 41 of Rushville died of an apparent heart attack in the cab of his parked tractor trailer near Frankfort Kentucky at noon Monday. He had been a professional trucker for years owning his own rig and most recently drove under contract with Mid-West Emery Freight System of Chicago. He was born August 5 1922 near Orange Fayette County the son of Lester and Ethel Stevens Dalrymple and lived in Orange Carthage Rushville and Connersville areas. He married Erma Springman Dalrymple May 17 1956 and is survived by his widow a son Donald a stepdaughter Sharron five brothers and a sister.

Carthage Community Association Forms With Officers
A group in Carthage has formed the Carthage Community Association after two Community Center meetings. Officers named are Chairman Bill Alexander Secretary Gene Silver and Treasurer Robert Winters. Committees include Rules and By Laws led by Rev. Robert Kendall and Membership led by Hugh Trowbridge. The next meeting is set for February 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carthage Community Center.

Rites Held For Edwin J. Chappell
Funeral services were held at Hampton Mortuary for Edwin James Chappell 73 of Carthage who died after an illness. Burial followed at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He was born near Carthage December 25 1890 and was never married. Surviving are two sisters and a brother. a sister and brother preceded him in death. He resided west of Carthage and lived at the state school near Butlerville since 1953. He was a member of Walnut Ridge Friends Church.

Carthage Man Fined For Drunken Driving and License Violations
James Cecil Creswell, 30, of Carthage, was fined on two charges in Rushville Justice Court and jailed for non payment totaling 46.50. He was later arrested by State Trooper James Kleiman on a county road southeast of Carthage and charged with drunken driving and no operator’s license, receiving 27.75 for OMVWI and 18.75 for no license.
