Obituary for Chauncy Jinks from Rush County
Chauncy Jinks born April 22 1851 in Franklin County near Laurel Indiana died January 10 near his daughter Mrs Charles Mummert. Survived by wife Hannah Hedrick five children Dora Amanda Elizabeth Rolla Grace with eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Moved from Rush County to near Muncie in 1908 then last October to be near children. He was a loving father and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Dr Charles A Tindall of Shelbyville Indiana marked his 3000th delivery in 43 years of practice as a physician in Shelby county. The baby boy born to Mr and Mrs Stanley Schaf was the milestone birth. Credit Committee Met Friday in Rush County
The Rush County credit committee meeting occurred Friday at 1 30 PM at the courthouse. A C Stewart of the Federal Land Bank will join county bankers and Farm Bureau directors to discuss the Federal Intermediate Credit Committee’s work and support credit surveys in the county. License plates deadline nears in Indiana February 1
The Indiana license bureau warns motorists to obtain 1931 plates immediately with only two and a half weeks left. Hunting Season Ends in Indiana With Several Closures
Indiana state officials declare hunting season closed for winter. Rabbit season ended January 10 and open waterfowl, coot and jacksnipe closed January 15. Migratory birds allowed for a ten day period after closure, not to exceed three days of shooting by one person. Stocking birds sent to Brown County Jasper Pulaski and Marion County preserves. Wardens reported 147 arrests in December with 134 convictions totaling 3228.76 in fines.
