Westland as last year's winner is favored but Carthage Raleigh and Arlington appear strong contenders. Tickets cost 60 cents for season and 35 cents for single sessions with games starting at 2 00 PM and a feature bout in the evening.

Rush County Highway Dept Reports 1930 Finances and Work
Elmer Harrison presents the Rush county highway department annual report showing a year total of 8232.82 expended and a 3003.72 balance. The department used 27731 yards of gravel and 12061 yards of stone. New floors were laid and 21 sewer culverts installed. There are 454 miles of county roads with nine trucks one Galion road maintainer and one caterpillar tractor manned by thirteen workers.

An estimated 300 to 400 people attended the Posey township farm bureau meeting at Arlington school Monday night. Milton Gardner presided as chairman, with entertainment from the Jackson township orchestra and the bureau’s play Mother O Mine. Roy Swain spoke on Grow Thrifty Pigs linked to the two day county hog school in Rushville, which began Tuesday morning. Refreshments followed the program.
