School Choir Plays Christmas Carols in Carthage

Knightstown resident Finley C Smith 56 of Route 1 was cited for failure to yield at a Jackson Street Jefferson Street intersection after a 6 15 p m Thursday collision. Denny Keatts 18 326 E Morgan Street drove a southbound car into Smiths westbound pickup, which then hit Dana Barton 18 417 W Main Street in a stopped vehicle. Clarence Dyer of Center Township posted the top 10 acre corn yield, 148 bushels per acre from PAG sx 29. Michael Wright, James Meyer, Worth Hudson, and Bill Waits followed with 141, 134, 129, and 126 bushels per acre respectively from NKPX78sx DEK 145sx PAG sx29 and Funks 696. Other checked yields included John White 120.8 and Robert Amos 106 bushels. some reports rejected for rule infractions. Phillip Bosse led the Junior 10 acre corn contest with 123.6 bushels per acre from Crib Filler 78SK, and also topped the 5 acre soybean contest with 44.9 bushels. He earned a trophy from Troyer and Halterman for the county’s highest 10 acre corn yield.

Purdue University faculty study a revised academic calendar that could shift commencement by a week in 1967 68.
