Mr and Mrs Ralph Deboard and children spent from last Thursday until New Year's Day visiting relatives in Mansfield Ohio. They visited Mr and Mrs John Erndt Mr and Mrs Pat Riley and children and Mr and Mrs Gene Ingold. Woodrow Clay was released from Henry County Hospital after minor surgery and ten days treatment. Roy Stanley was released from Hancock County Hospital at Greenfield. Mrs Wilma Ewbank of Carthage admitted to Rush Memorial Hospital. Dr John T Scull of Rushville fell outside his home New Year's Day and broke his leg. He was moved to Rush Memorial Hospital. Mrs Scull remains about the same at the Nursing Home in Rushville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Thompson Brown Funeral Home for William F. Selm 77 of Connersville. He died Saturday at Robert Long Hospital after surgery. Survivors include wife Selah one son Harry and three daughters Mrs. Lewis Lafuse Mrs. Preston Brown and Mrs. James Bell along with several grandchildren. Burial followed at Dale Cemetery Connersville.

Beef Cattle Banquet Honors Gold Medal Winners
The 36th annual Beef Cattle Feeders and Breeders Banquet will be held Wednesday at 6 30 p m January 10 at the Durbin Hotel. Medals will be presented to all winners in beef lamb and swine projects by Worth Hodson, Rush County Fair Beef Department chairman. Rush County is expected to receive 46 gold medals, the highest county total in the state.
