Shooting Spree Ends in Self-Inflicted Death at Local Plant
At the Container Corporation plant on a Wednesday night Ollie Cline 49 shot himself after an attempted murder and failed attack on 27 year old Robert Stoner. Town Marshal Hugh Trowbridge said the incident occurred around 1130 p m as Stoner worked at the plant and Cline died instantly.

The Friends Church in Logan will host a revival led by W. Smith beginning Sunday March 1 with nightly services through March 8 at 7:00 p.m. on Sundays and 7:30 p.m. on weekdays. A separate violent incident at Carthage Container involved Stoner shooting at coworker Cline. Cline died near the plant and Stoner was wounded.
