Russell Lewis, a Seneca county Ohio farmer, who had been paralyzed in his left hand for three years, reportedly recovered use after he heard a noise in his Bascom home. He grasped an ax handle with the previously disabled hand and moved his fingers, then shouted with joy.

The death of Mrs. Charles Sexton aged 27 occurred Sunday evening at 7 at her home on the Everett Nugent farm four miles southwest of here. She is survived by her husband three daughters a son her mother Mrs Victoria Barnes and one brother both of Dupont Jefferson county. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Walnut Ridge Friends Church with Rev. Charles S. Winslow and two assistants. Burial was in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Funeral director W. O. Moore assisted.

Fred Swift and four accomplices were held in Connersville for an Indiana Lamp Co. holdup on December 13 in which $6700 was stolen from paymaster C. R. Jontz. Swift pleaded not guilty while the others pleaded guilty. Pinkerton detectives led the case. Swift and Hackleman received state prison terms. the others paid fines and were sent to Pendleton reformatory.
