Purdue University officials say non technical graduates can fill some jobs due to a shortage of technically trained hires. Over 700 companies scheduled interviews for up to a year. The average January engineering salary was 709 dollars monthly, overall Purdue grads earned 671. The top earners, a pharmacy graduate, made 850 monthly. Of January grads, 255 entered business industry or government, 116 went to graduate school and 89 joined military service.
