Weekend visit features skating and ISU basketball

Miss Cynthia Pearson hosts weekend guests from Indiana State College in Terre Haute. Judy Gray of Paris and Becky Smith of Marshall, Illinois join ice skating at the Coliseum and a Mount Indiana State Ball State University game in Muncie where ISU won 76 75. Pearson returns to campus after a vacation between semesters. The Pearsons and other locals also attended the Muncie game later that evening.

Fatal Accident Claims Mrs Veach in Knightstown

Mrs. Mary C Veach 79 of Knightstown was struck by a car in Knightstown and died at Hancock Hospital Greenfield. Services were held at Butcher Funeral Home Knightstown with burial in Glen Cove Cemetery. She leaves four sons, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and is a Kentucky native long time resident.

Purdue Group Returns From Higate Jamaica Mission

Russell Shutt Jr of Carthage and John Hunt with Mrs Hunt of Lafayette were among 22 from the Indiana Yearly Meeting of Friends who returned Monday from a ten day mission trip to Higate Jamaica. The group aided building a Friends Parsonage at the Friends Mission and traveled by car caravan to Miami Florida then flew by jet to Jamaica.
