Mrs Nathan C. Binford and Miss Bettie Burch of Greenfield visited William B. Hill and family. Several residents, such as Mrs Albert Johnson and Mrs C. N. Willson, suffered injuries. Johnson concussion after a street fall, Willson broke an arm. Many visits, illnesses, and small-town events fill the week, with library mishaps and local notes.

Carthage High to Mark Dickens Birth Centenary

Pupils plan a Dickens program for the one hundredth anniversary of Charles Dickens birth on Wednesday February 7 at the opening of school and in the chapel if heated. The program will include a biography reading dialogue and songs. The public is invited.
