Rush County Corn Show honors 1962 champions and records
At the Rush County Corn Show held December 13 to 15 1962 4H club members Joyce Hiner and Phyllis Kinnett won top corn titles with the Sweepstakes 10 ears and the Sweepstakes linear corn exhibit. Open and 4H divisions awarded multiple sweepstakes prizes while Herman Dyer Floyd Hiner and others earned several class awards. The event marked first time one farm claimed all three world championships and the soybean title was won by a local farmer for the first time in 12 years.

Mrs. Hugh Weber and Mrs. Robert Walker hosted a Christmas party for twenty three members and two inactive members of Kappa Kappa Sigma at their home.
