Woman injured in slipway accident near Ariington
A Monday morning accident at the east edge of Ariington left Mrs Iolia Grubbs of Cincinnati with a broken arm and a deep scalp wound after the car slid off the embankment. Her companions Mr and Mrs Coons also of Cincinnati sustained minor injuries. They were taken to Mrs William Mershall’s home for treatment.

Blue Birds Entertained By Miss Phelps And Niece

Former Carthage Man Dead Frank White Morristown Farmer
Morristown resident and longtime farmer Frank White died Monday night at Major Hospital in Shelbyville after about two years illness. Born near Carthage in 1867, he moved to a farm south of Morristown, retired two years ago, and lived in town. Survived by wife Mrs. White, two sons Donald and Henry, daughters Mrs. Mery Parker and Mrs. Ruth Munyon, sister Miss Olive White, brother Charles, and four grandchildren. Funeral at 2 PM Thursday at the M. E. church with Asbury cemetery burial.

Survived by widow Phoebe Henley Newsom, daughter Mrs. H. C. Bryant of Cincinnati, son Horace H. Newsom of Cleveland, Ohio, brother W. P. Newsom, and three grandchildren. Mrs Edward and her two children Phillip seven months and Joanne were in a car with Mr and Mrs M L Edwards traveling toward Indianapolis when a train struck the auto near State road 67 south of Anderson. Dorthy Edwards suffered a pelvic fracture. Mr Edwards bruised. Mrs Edwards slowly improving. Phillip in serious condition with skull fracture. Hooten severely cut. Joanne escaped injury.

Stacey’s Sentence Set At One To Ten Years
Lee Stacey 25 of near Knights Town was found guilty of assault and battery with intent to commit felony. He received one to ten years in the State reformatory and was dis franchised for ten years. The trial cost were charged to him. He allegedly knifed Rudolph McConnell of Lewisville on Mill Street in Carthage October 22, with McConnell hospitalized in New Castle for weeks.

Barn Destroyed by Fire on Barclay Binford Farm
A barn at Barclay Binford’s Hancock county farm was burned Tuesday night. Tenanted by Claude Miller, the barn held tools for winter but no grain. A Miller Chevrolet truck was saved from the blaze by Everett Fouse, a Westland student living with the Millers.
