Death of Mrs Vina Miller near Arlington
Mrs Vina Miller 44 wife of Roy Miller died Sunday after a seven week pneumonia illness. She married Roy Miller in 1906 and is survived by her husband, her mother Mrs Ida Strupe of Homer, a son Oren Lane Miller of Posey township, two sisters Mrs Bert Craig and Mrs Ervin Davis of Shelby County, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Gwynneville United Brethren Church with Rev O J McMullin and Rev Clawson officiating. Interment followed in Forest Hill Cemetery Shelbyville.

An Indianapolis man told Greenfield police two men in a dark sedan robbed him and his son at gunpoint on the National Road around 9 AM near Gem as they returned from Knightstown after cashing a $237.50 check. The robbers fled at high speed. no license or detailed description was obtained.

Death of Dave Nelson in July automobile crash near Julu
Dave Nelson son of Mr and Mrs Harry Nelson died in a hospital after a car crash near Julu that killed two others and injured two seriously. Born August 1898 in Posey township he lived in Indianapolis and Rush before attending Raleigh and Fairview high schools. He served in the Students Army Training Car at Butler, Fort Snelling, and in San Francisco and Honolulu. He was a member of the American Legion and Masorif Lodge and survived by his parents, brother Finley of Carthage, and sister Mrs Thomas Talbert of Morristown. Funeral plans pending.

Knightstown Conservation Club affiliated with state and federal agencies now lists about 80 sportsmen and promotes stream cleanup for wildlife health. The group, divided into two captains in a hawk and owl campaign, will host a rabbit dinner at the Christian church on Thursday December 1% at 6 30, ticket 25 cents per plate. Members pay 25 cents yearly for farmers and 50 cents for town residents.
