Funeral services were held at Thompson Funeral Home for Alexander Tice 73 a prominent farmer who died last Thursday in Henry county hospital after heart trouble. Born June 13 1866 in Rush county he spent his life in Carthage Arlington area and the Lewis Reddick homestead near Cartage. He is survived by a son Earl of Indianapolis. Interment followed in Glen Cove Cemetery at Knightstown.

A 45 year old World War veteran from Osgood says he will sell the cornea of his eye to obtain money and housing after years of unemployment. He told reporters he has no home clothes or funds and has sought treatment at a veterans hospital. His wife died in 1929 and he has a sister in Los Angeles as his only close relative.

The Rush county grand jury met this week and completed their work Wednesday evening. Indictments are expected for Rushville residents as charges are under consideration by Prosecuting Attorney Orlando Ingle. Thirteen witnesses from the county seat testified before the six man panel.
