Arrests Made in Carthage Petit Larceny Case

Donald Gribbons and Hubert Stark both 22 were arrested Saturday night in Carthage on charges of petit larceny. They are alleged to have stolen a Hampshire shotgun from the William F. Magee farm near Carthage Thursday night.

Hunt Family Annual Reunion Held With Officers Elected

Thirty eight members and friends gathered at Mrs Elmer Hunts home for the Hunt family reunion. A noon cooperative dinner followed by an afternoon business meeting elected Sharon Hunt president Hubert Hunt vice president and Ida Jessup secretary treasurer. The day included social time contests and refreshments. The next reunion is set for the fourth Sunday in August 1960.

National Championship Motorcycle Races Set At Lawrenceburg Speedway

Lawrenceburg Speedway officials announced an AMA sanctioned National Championship program for Sunday August 30 at 2 30 pm. The event will feature riders from nearly every state competing for national points toward year end World Champion status. Time trials start at 9 00 am with gates opening for fans and picnics before the 2 30 pm race.

Brewer resigns from Container Corporation of America

Donald H. Brewer, Senior Vice President and head of the Container Division since 1954, resigns. Walter P. Paepcke announces the move and Leo H. Schoenhofen will oversee the Container Division in the interim. Arlington Tops Ross 2-1 To Win Tourney

Arlington defeated Ross Market 2-1 to capture the seven team league tournament. Arlington took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on Cooley's three base hit and a Kramer walk, with Rucker and Knoop driving in two more runs on sacrifice bunts. Ross scored in the fourth on Kugler triple and infield out. Arlington pitcher Asher fanned eight without a walk while Markley struck out six for Ross.
