Rally in Eighth Fails as Visitors Win 8–6
A large crowd watched the Rose City Red Sox of New Castle fall to the Carthage Specials 8 to 6. Delashmit pitched well at 18 but error-prone infield support and late rallying by Carthage doomed the locals. Hoosier relieved in the ninth but couldn’t stop the onslaught.

No new Castings Needed for Binder This Season
Farmers note hot weather reduces milk while poor feed worsens the flow. Alfalfa should be cut when about one tenth in bloom, and clover at or just before full bloom. A well watered herd and early cut hay boost dairy cattle production and wealth. The hen is cited as the most efficient food producer per Ohio university authority.
