John V Beason died suddenly at his Carthage area home from heart ailment after a three month illness. Born March 11 1868 in Rush County he was a son of William and Barbara Benson. Survivors include his wife Jennie and brother Elbert of Greenfield. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 pm at Thompson Funeral Home conducted by Rev Harry Cooper with burial in Walnut Ridge cemetery.
