Mrs Noah Brooks was a weekend guest of her daughter Miss Cindy Brooks at Ball State University. Rush County dairy judging contest draws 150 students
The annual 4H and FFA Dairy Judging Contest will be held Thursday in Rush County. Nearly 150 boys from seven vocational agriculture departments are expected. Indiana utility to waive electric bills for tornado victims
Public Service Indiana said final electric bills would be waived for about 500 customers whose homes or businesses were destroyed by tornadoes. About 400 of the affected structures were in the Kokomo Russia ville Greentown Alto area, with others near Sheridan and Mulberry. The storm damaged two sub stations 17 steel towers 24 strain weld structures and an estimated 650 distribution poles along 10 miles of transmission lines across 68 counties.
