The will dated September 19, 1963 names grandson Thomas Radar Harrell as $100 beneficiary. The balance goes to daughters Mary Elizabeth Holloway and Catherine Joanne Ellis, with Ellis named executrix, and son Warren E. Stevens.

Major Curtis J. Porter on duty in South Vietnam flew to California last week to visit his wife and daughter, leaving Sunday evening. He telephoned his sister Mrs. Vera Rucker on Saturday evening. Porter's father Thurman Porter also resides in Carthage.

The Church of the Nazarene in Carthage will host a revival from Friday, April 30, to Sunday, May 9, at 7 30 p m. Evangelist Rev Willie Hamil of Brooklyn Indiana will lead the series, with Rev Luther Williams as pastor welcoming all. Special singing numbers are planned each evening.
Kenneth Land chaired the Ripley Farm Bureau meeting held Monday evening at the Community Center. Roy Stanley presented the secretary's report before a brief business session. Refreshments were served to eight members and three guests.
The annual Legion Auxiliary birthday supper is scheduled for Saturday at 6 30 p.m. at the Community Center. Members and families are urged to arrive early and bring a covered dish.
Rev Luther Williams of the Church of the Nazarene in Carthage will lead the church for another year. Dr Henry Rehfeldt district superintendent of Indianapolis spoke last Sunday at the Nazarene Church. A church revival begins Friday April 30 for ten days.
Clarence Perisho of North Man kato Minnesota described the flood conditions to his in laws Mr and Mrs Fred White while spending the weekend at their home The White home had not been damaged as the local dike held If broken the White residence would have faced flooding amid statewide flood threats
Mr and Mrs Lloyd Manuel and their son accompanied her mother from California to Vevay on Sunday for a two week visit.
Postmaster William Alexander attended a dinner during the 10th District Meeting of the National Association of Postmasters at the Durbin Hotel on Wednesday.
Container Corporation of America honored Group No. 4 at the Carthage Plant with a safety dinner for 22 employees marking eight years without a lost time accident. The Durbin Hotel in Rushville hosted the event on April 14, 1965, as the plant reported 19 months and about 600000 accident free man hours company wide. Safety Director Wilbur McCorkle presided while Hans Buehler and Frank Wantz offered congrats.

Pvt. Kelly Veach of Ft. Knox and Mrs. Howard Windsor host a thirteen day furlough visit with family. Miss Judith Cooney of Western Springs Illinois joins at the Windsor home this week. Mrs. Wilbur McCorsle hosts a bridge gathering with one table and honors for Mrs. Forrest Beck and Mrs. Louis Humes with Mrs. Gouldie Kyser as guest. refreshments served.
Fletcher Methodist Church hosted an Easter egg hunt for the Nursery Beginners and Primary classes with prizes for most eggs and special eggs. Teachers Mrs Marvin Johnson Mrs Carl Foust and Mrs Raymond Kennedy provided refreshments to accompany the event. A Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority meeting at the Community Center drew sixteen members with a white elephant sale led by president Mrs Hugh Weber.
Sunday guests called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hampton and their sons. Visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Ed Carroll and family from Rochester Indiana, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rhoades and children from Charlottesville, and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Brown.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nigh and family of Knightstown and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nigh and family of Carthage were Easter dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Edwards and sons and Mrs. Earl Nigh.

President Stephen Hunt, Class of 1954, leads with secretary Leon Whitfield, Class of 1951, guiding committees for entertainment Rex Edwards Shirley Lukens Reta Stanley and decorating Robert Carolyn Mc.
A court action in Shelby Circuit Court seeks a temporary injunction to halt a 60.2 million rural electric cooperative power plant project in southern Indiana. Public Service Indiana alleges Indiana Statewide Rural Electric Cooperative will waste tax funds and raise costs for 400,000 customers. The suit urges an impartial review by the Public Service Commission and courts, arguing the project is not in the public or co op members best interest and would duplicate private generation at higher cost.

The 1965 Indiana General Assembly requires a Coast Guard approved life preserver for every passenger on any watercraft. No exceptions exist for children or adults. each person must have their own preserver, applicable to all watercraft.
Mr and Mrs Marble Edwards of Florida were houseguests of Mr and Mrs Lindley Taylor last week. They accompanied Mrs Fred Pfeiffer to Elmhurst Illinois Friday and spent the weekend with her hosts.
