Lloyd Phelps aged 18 son of Mr and Mrs Fred Phelps of 552 West Emporia Street Ontario California died April 14 in a local hospital from severe burns after an explosion at Pearson and Pearson's garage where he worked He was clearing a gasoline distillate from a car when a burning match was tossed into the pit setting his clothes ablaze A nearby mechanic Davison also suffered burns All who knew him say his father once lived here and he leaves four sisters and two brothers The accident occurred in a rear pit where he had just finished cleaning a car
Three Frankfort high school teams won first place in their divisions at the district commercial contest in Lafayette among fifteen entering schools. Lead by Miss Irene Garfield of Carthage, the teams excelled across divisions.
Ed Hahn died Thursday morning in New Smyrna Florida after several days of malaria fever. He led a fleet of Butterfield Construction Co. trucks and had left town January 21 for Ft Lauderdale. Survived by widow and six children Katherine Louise Mary Elizabeth Ernest Charles. Body expected to arrive Saturday with Catholic church funeral in Knightstown and burial there. service date not set.
High winds caused damage across the country Saturday. Rain on Monday turned to snow as a cool front moved through. Weather will be cloudy with 40s, then sunshine Thursday and a noon temperature near 50. Mrs Will A Addison aged about 54 died Tuesday night at 11 at her home 1835 N Delaware St Indianapolis She once lived in Rushville She is survived by husband one daughter Mrs L E Harker of Indianapolis one sister Mrs F W Gottlieb of Morristown and two brothers J Riley Small of Chicago Roy M Small of this place Funeral services are set for Friday at 2 PM at the residence and burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery Morristown
