Five Colored People Hurt In Wreck Near Morristown
Five Colored people from Cincinnati were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a collision west of the iron bridge near Morristown. All five were taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after their sedan driven by Rev Turpeau struck a tractor trailer in the passing lane.

Widow of Carthage Teacher Dies in Greenfield
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Roy Cox 44 a World War II veteran who died Sunday at his Greenfield home. The Rev. F Edwards of Muncie and Rev. G L Farrow led services at the Methodist Protestant church with interment in Park cemetery. His widow Mrs Pearl Cox formerly Miss Pearl Young taught for several years in Carthage schools.

Carters Sentenced in Circuit Court for Child Neglect
Mr and Mrs Earl Carter formerly of west of Carthage were sentenced by Judge John A Titsworth in circuit court Monday morning on charges of child neglect. Mr Carter must serve ninety days at the state penal farm while Mrs Carter received a suspended six month sentence in the women's prison. Both had entered not guilty pleas but changed them Monday.
