Elevator of Rush County Mill Destroyed by Fire
The Rush County Mills elevator burned completely Sunday morning causing losses over 50000 dollars. Firemen arrived too late to save the building which also destroyed machinery and about 4000 bushels of grain. Floyd Kirklin reports insurance partly covers the loss and says the mill will be rebuilt soon.

Dot the jumping dog belonging to Clen Dusty Miller of Rushville died on Tuesday at almost eleven years old. The well known canine reportedly jumped from a 90 foot ladder and was said to hold a world record. Miller said Dot was booked for the World's Fair in Chicago but canceled due to blindness.
