He will participate in a large U S Pacific Fleet exercise Spring 1961 called Green Light led by Vice Admiral Melson. Rites Held for Theresa Souder at Greenfield Chapel

Mrs. Theresa Souder aged 90 of 119 Meek Street Greenfield died Sunday after a long illness. Born January 4 1871 in Rush County she was a longtime Hancock County resident and member of the Greenfield Christian Church Royal Neighbors and Pocahontas Lodges. Funeral for Jonn Heim Held in Indianapolis

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Flanner Buchanan Mortuary for John Heim 53 of Indianapolis a former Carthage resident who died suddenly of a heart attack at home. He was a Ball State graduate and led a manufacturing agency in Indianapolis with regional representation. Survivors include his wife Mary a daughter Judy and several siblings. Entombment followed at Washington Park Mausoleum.

Posey Township Farm Bureau met Monday night at the Arlington School with Richard Newhouse as guest speaker. The State Legislature joint Senator gave a resume of his work and discussed bills and voting processes. Otto Walke reported on the District 8 Farm Bureau meeting at Shelbyville. Harvey Speaks At Purdue University

Congressman Ralph Harvey of Indiana addressed the 11th Annual Conference of the National Institute of Animal Agriculture at Purdue University. He urged livestock perspectives in policy, criticized feed grain allotments, and cautioned that foreign surplus programs fail to solve surplus feed grain issues. He stressed free enterprise and warned against reliance on government controls.

Easter-Era Attendants Share Dinners Across Towns

Mrs Alma Reddick of Mays hosted Easter dinner with guests including Leonard and Marylin Jackson of Ball State College and Paul Jackson of Mooresville along with the Reddick family. Numerous relatives from Carmel to Greenfield visited or stayed through Easter weekend, with reunions at homes near Carthage and Madison and visits by students from Ball State University and Taylor University.
