St Anthony Regional Hospital and Nursing Home announces a series of community health events this fall. Programs cover elder care, fall prevention, and nutrition with guest speakers from the hospital and affiliate clinics. Attendance is open to patients, families, and local residents.
The Carroll Area Chapter of the United Ostomy Association schedules a meeting Monday July 30 at 7 p.m. in the Fireside Room at Orchard View Carroll. A grill-out and potluck supper are planned for the evening. The group offers mutual aid and information to ostomates and health professionals.
A Lamaze Refresher class is set for Wednesday August 1 at St Anthony Regional Hospital. It starts at 7 p.m. in the Education Room and covers labor birth processes exercises and relaxation techniques with a tour of the obstetrical unit at the end. Registration is $10 per couple with pre registration requested. Contact the Education Department at 792 8244 for information or 792 8243 to pre register.
Prepared Childbirth Education classes at St Anthony Regional Hospital run through July 30 covering prenatal care, labor and birth, relaxation breathing, hospital experience, baby care, and infant nutrition. Registration is $20 per couple with materials. Classes meet every other month. next series starts Sept 10. Call Education Department at 792-8243 to register.
