Boraughon's Practical Business College plans short term schools in Georgia and could open a Carrollton branch in June if thirty local students enroll. Arthur Minter of the Southeastern division says scholarships at $94 may be used across Draughon colleges. An organizer may visit next week to enroll students and set three daily sessions.

J. J. Atwell Passes Away After Illness
J. J. Atwell died at his home on Stewart Street after several months illness. He resided in Carrollton since boyhood and was highly esteemed. Funeral services were led by Rev. R. A. Edmondson of the Methodist church at the residence. The body was laid to rest amid a large gathering of relatives and friends. He is survived by his wife, a young son, his mother, and one brother, Upshaw.

Col W. D. Hamrick Dies at Home After Brief Illness
Representative elect Col W. D. Hamrick died at his White Street home early Monday. His death comes as a surprise to many county residents who knew him for years. The funeral will be conducted by Rev J M Dodd from the First Baptist Church at 10 o clock Tuesday morning with escort from the Carrollton bar.

A M School Commencement Program Presented Monday Evening
The A M School Auditorium hosted an 8 o clock commencement program featuring The Gasoline Engine on the Farm Roy Pratt Miss Bessie Lowrey and A M Band performances. A debate on Initiative Referendum and Recall yielded affirmative and negative sides led by Norman Causey Lander Lane and others. Diplomas were presented by Hon Geo Munroe and the class officers included Ermie Adamson Norman Causey Miss Bessie Lowrey and Joe Boyd Davis with final remarks by Rev LeRoy Hirschburge.
