A garbled OCR item lists several donor names and amounts tied to colleges and universities in Idaho and Utah. Values range from 50 to 900 dollars, with totals noted for some institutions including Idaho State University Brigham Young University and Ricks College.
Police Chief Wilcox and Officer Pryle report a surge in juvenile shoplifting in the business district. Nine teens aged 13 to 14 linked to 29 petit larceny cases. over $50 in merchandise recovered. Some youths admit to multiple crimes, linking six minor burglaries and 13 larcenies. Petit larceny carries up to $300 fine and six months in jail. grand larceny exceeds $150 or involves taking from a person.
Two Bancroft businesses were burglarized Friday night by an unknown person or persons. Bancroft Milling & Feed Company owned by Gerald Tolman and Reed's Supply Company owned by Edmund J. Reed were entered, intruders ransacked the premises, and small change was stolen.

At Pebble Friday around 3:15 p.m. Ernest Ellis, 23, headed west in a disabled Dodge struck a semi, then crossed railroad tracks and blocked the Union Pacific main line until the semi was moved. Keith Ramsey, driving a 1963 Ford, hit Ellis's burning Dodge. No injuries required aid. Highway use limited as parts and vehicles were cleared. State Police from Lava Hot Springs and Soda Springs investigated with local crews and truckers assisting.

The Supply Company was ransacked with papers and cabinet contents scattered. only an old clock radio was missing. Tracks in mud showed at least three persons. sheriff Marriott said high school lawn damage was caused by a vehicle circling the flagpole. A deputy sheriff was hired to cover Bancroft area.
Friday Mr and Mrs Lorin Stone of Soda Springs traveled to Sunset Utah to visit at the home of her sister and brother in law Mr and Mrs Marlgwe Palmer in a brief family outing and social call.
