Winners Of Americanism Essay Contest Announced
The annual American Legion Auxiliary Americanism Essay Contest announced winners across two groups from Hooper Soda Springs Conda and local schools. First and second place recipients in each grade division received Silver or Bronze medals with essays stressing flag honor and duties to community state and nation.

The foods 4-H club led by Mrs. Peggy Rosdahl met at her home with seven members and mothers. Dene Daniels was elected president with Joan Gleed as vice president, Christine Sulik reporter, Cynthia Lloyd secretary, Maxine Shell recreation, Jannette Robinson and Loraine Peterson as special project coordinators. The group voted the name Crazy Cookies and held demonstrations on egg nog.
