Grassman of Caribou County Named for Year
Don Peterson, rancher from Grassman, selected as Grassman of the Year by Christman and the Conservation Service committee after their tour of Peterson’s ranch. His 678 acre operation grows cash crops including potatoes and alfalfa in a seven year rotation. The ranch runs calves and feeds on irrigated pastures while rotating stock on four pastures to balance weight gain and forage.

Parade Preparations Underway for April Event
Parade chairman Bjorkman said preparations for the four parade are coming along but require extra water. Entries are invited with a $130 prize fund from the chamber, divided into three categories Commercial, Review, and Special. The Soda Springs School District No 150 extends remedial reading into summer for 40 students with six weeks of sessions led by Edith Steele and Fern Tipton.
