Bids opened June 3 at the Bureau of Land Management Boise office show Ruby Company of Boise as apparent high bidder on Unit 1 of 90 acres at 4430 and Unit 2 of 80 acres at 6000. FMC Corporation of New York City led on Unit 3 of 120 acres with 9150.

Montpelier to Host Futurity and Derby Meet
Montpelier will host the Bonneville Futurity for two year olds and Derby for one year olds plus quarter horse and thoroughbred races. The four day meet runs Fridays and Saturdays June 18 19 and 25 26 at Bear Lake County Fairgrounds. Organizers say purses total at least on par with 1964 and include ten added elimination purses.
